Firmware is the usual culprit
When a title refuses to boot, outdated firmware is the cause far more often than a corrupt file. Every entry here lists the minimum version.
Reading the requirement
A requirement of 17.0.0 means 17.0.0 or newer. Anything older will not launch, no matter how the file was installed.
Base versus update firmware
Base files and title updates can require different firmware versions. Where they differ, both are listed in the specification table.

Use the firmware filter on any listing page to see only the titles your current setup can run.
