How to install an NSP file on Nintendo Switch

What you need

• The NSP file for the base game
• The matching title update, if one is listed
• An installer application on your console
• Enough free space for the file size shown on the entry

Install the base game first

Copy the NSP to your SD card, open your installer, select the file and install to the destination with the most free space. Do not interrupt the transfer.

Apply the title update

Install the update file the same way, after the base game. Installing an update before its base game causes a version mismatch.

Confirm the version

Open the title’s information screen and compare the version number against the update version listed on the entry. If they match, you are done.

Common errors

A launch failure almost always means the firmware is older than the entry requires. Update firmware and keys, then try again.
